Lisa of K-pop sensation Blackpink is set to appear in the third season of the US television series "The White Lotus," which will mark her first foray into acting, HBO announced Tuesday.

In a statement, HBO said the 26-year-old Thai-born artist joined the cast of the show, which follows the guests and employees of the fictional White Lotus chain of resorts.

HBO did not give further details on Lisa's role in the series.

The series will begin production in Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, Thailand this February, according to HBO.

The development comes shortly after Lisa launched her own management company, LLOUD, which will handle her solo promotions.

But the artist, whose real name is Lalisa Manobal, remains signed with K-pop label YG Entertainment for Blackpink's group activities.

With her appearance in "The White Lotus," Lisa also becomes the second Blackpink member to star in an HBO show, following Jennie's participation in the 2023 series "The Idol."
