Anne Hathaway marked the 25th anniversary of The Princess Diaries with a heartfelt tribute to the beloved Disney film.
On Instagram, the actress shared a throwback video featuring behind-the-scenes moments from the making of the movie.
"25 years later and it’s still one of the most magical things that has ever happened to me!" she wrote.
Anne also expressed her gratitude to the fans who have continued to support the film throughout the years.
"Thank you all for loving The Princess Diaries as much as I do. I am forever grateful for my PD family!!" she added.
She also paid tribute to the film’s late director, Garry Marshall.
"Love you Garry, miss you every day xx," she said.
Fans online were quick to react to Anne's post.
"Forever our princess," one fan commented.
"Fundamentally changed our generation," another fan wrote.
Released in 2001, The Princess Diaries starred Anne alongside Julie Andrews. The movie follows Mia Thermopolis who "just found out that she is the heir apparent to the throne of Genovia. With her friends Lilly and Michael Moscovitz in tow, she tries to navigate through the rest of her fifteenth year," as per its IMDb.
Anne reprised her role in the 2004 sequel, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, in which Princess Mia faces the pressures of royal duty, including the possibility of entering an arranged marriage.
Back in July, Anne shared an update on the highly anticipated third installment of the franchise.
During an interview on SiriusXM, the actress revealed that there was still no definite timeline for when production would begin.
"I am busy making baby number three and that has sort of taking the place of knowing when I can exactly make Princess Diaries 3," she shared.
Anne announced in June that she and her husband, Adam Shulman, are expecting their third child.

Despite the absence of a fixed production schedule, Anne said the team had made significant progress in developing the story.
"But I can say I think we had a story breakthrough. I think that we are moving in the right direction," she relayed.
The actress also revealed that the creative team had decided to start over and take the screenplay in a new direction.
"The script we were working on, we kinda had a start over with this new direction, which is not the update I think anybody wants. But we all feel really good that it is gonna be the one," she said.
