MANILA — University of Santo Tomas (UST) libero and draft aspirant Detdet Pepito has mixed emotions as she nears her career as a professional volleyball player.
Pepito, who wore the UST uniform for 11 years since the UAAP juniors, is "nervous, at the same time excited" as the PVL Rookie Draft looms.
"Kinakabahan kasi sobrang ibang iba 'yung feeling and 'yung mga mukhang nakikita ko so kinakabahan po," said Pepito on Thursday at the Draft Combine in Mandaluyong City.

"At the same time, excited lalo na nakakapag-training din kami sa iba’t ibang PVL teams and 'yun, nata-try namin 'yung mga iba’t ibang sistema at iba’t ibang players, veterans," she added. "Ngayon pa lang ang dami na po naming natututunan sa kanila so sobrang saya."
The Golden Tigresses' outgoing captain hopes to bring her leadership and hard work to the PVL club that would select her.
