MANILA — Cignal intends to reset and improve come Game 2 of the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference Finals.
Vanie Gandler acknowledged the tough loss they absorbed in the championship opener, going down in straight sets, 22-25, 18-25, 16-25, on Tuesday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

There's no other way but to move forward, said Gandler.
"Yeah, it was a tough loss but it’s Game 1, it’s a best-of-three series for a reason. We’re just going forward and do what we need to do to improve," Gandler told reporters in the aftermath of the opener.
Gandler admitted that they were "overwhelmed," but vowed to take it with "our heads up."
"Yeah we’re approaching the loss with our heads up, like I said, the championship series isn’t over and we know the lapses and what we did wrong so hopefully we’re able to bounce back," said Gandler, who delivered 17 attack points and 10 receptions in the defeat.
"That’s why we’re not dwelling on our loss today, we’re just focusing on our recovery and then what we need to do to improve our lapses."
Come Game 2, Cignal hopes to repeat their 25-13, 13-25, 25-16, 25-16 win over Creamline in the semifinals and 25-21, 24-26, 18-25, 25-22, 17-15 in the qualifying round.
