MANILA — As Cignal chases history, eyeing its first-ever Premier Volleyball League (PVL) title, Erika Santos aims to make the most out of the opportunity.
Fueled by "hunger" and "thirst" for her maiden professional title, Santos vows to give her all in the Finals of the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference against Creamline.
"For sure, 'yung uhaw, kasi ang tagal na nito eh. Parang ilang years din in the making tapos finally, andito na sa Finals. So ayun, gutom na gutom para kunin 'yung trophy," said Santos on Thursday at the Filoil Centre in San Juan.
Santos admitted that her transition to Cignal wasn't exactly easy, but Shaq delos Santos and the coaching staff worked hard to help the former De La Salle Lady Spiker get her groove in the squad.

"Hindi naging madali 'yung transition kasi kailangan mag-adjust sa new system, pero good thing talagang tiniyaga nila coach Shaq [delos Santos], so 'yon, nagbubunga naman," said the former PVL on Tour Most Valuable Player. "Nagiging okay naman 'yung outcome, so hopefully, mabuhos pa lahat sa Finals."

Cignal faces Creamline again on PVL's biggest stage, this time without an import. The other time the two squads met in the Finals was in the 2024 Invitational, where the Cool Smashers emerged triumphant, 3-2.
