MANILA — Confronted with a do-or-die situation in the play-in tournament, Nxled Chameleons held their composure and swept Galeries, 25-23, 25-18, 25-23, in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference on March 28 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Nxled captain Brooke Van Sickle credited her teammates for staying calm and composed against the upset-minded Highrisers.

After suffering a loss to Galeries in the preliminaries, the Chameleons made sure history didn’t repeat itself.
“Earlier in the preliminaries, Galeries upset some teams, especially us. I already knew they were going to be tough and come out firing. Even in the third set, they were still battling until the end, so we just stayed calm and collected,” said the three-time PVL MVP.
“There were a few road bumps, but I’m proud of all the girls for sticking together and working as a team, whoever was on the court. I’m really proud of everyone,” she added.

Van Sickle also acknowledged the potential of the young Galeries squad, believing it can achieve greater success moving forward.
“I thought Galeries had a really good run. They’re going to be very lethal in the future. They already did really well,” said the Fil-American spiker.
With the win, Nxled kept its semifinal hopes alive and now needs to beat Farm Fresh to secure a Final Four berth.
