MANILA (UPDATED) — Nxled kept its campaign alive by beating Galeries, 25-23, 25-18, 25-23, in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference play-in on Saturday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The Chameleons will tackle Farm Fresh next for a spot in the semifinal round.

The Brooke Van Sickle-led squad leaned on a 4-0 finishing kick in the endgame to secure the victory, tearing down a 23-21 lead installed by the Highrisers.

Van Sickle first prevented the Galeries side from reaching set point with an off-the-block kill, 23-22. Ranya Musa nailed a gutsy block on former teammate Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, followed by an MJ Phillips ace to reach match point.

The three-time PVL MVP then completed the come-from-behind set win, rejecting Maizo-Pontillas on the net, 25-23.

They avoided a repeat loss against the Highrisers, after falling to them in the preliminary round in four sets, 19-25, 25-17, 20-25, 21-25.

Coach Ettore Guidetti shared what was the difference today compared to last time — it was having MJ Phillips and Djanel Cheng at the team's disposal.

"First of all, we didn't play with MJ Phillips last time. She had a little problem to the knee and so we didn't have the possibility to play with her. And today, she scored simply 17 points in three sets," said the Italian mentor.

"To be honest, we had a little misunderstanding about the physical condition of Cheng the last time. So, I didn't have the possibility to have her. And she helps a lot. She helps a lot during every single game. So, today, we were complete. And that's a key," he added.

As mentioned by Guidetti, the star middle blocker led their attack by having a game-high 17 points on 13 spikes, three blocks, and an ace, while Van Sickle had 14 markers and nine excellent digs, and Myla Pablo chipped in 10 points.

Meanwhile, after ousting Capital1, it is the end of Galeries' all-Pinoy tournament bid. Before going out, Erika Deloria had a near triple-double of 13 points, nine excellent digs, and 14 excellent receptions, as Jean Asis added 11 markers.
