MANILA — Vanie Gandler has one ultimate goal in mind as the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference progresses.
Gandler shared her goal in the tournament — a maiden PVL title for the Cignal Super Spikers.
A golden finish has always been missing in Cignal's shelf, having clinched five bronzes and two silvers. Their last finals appearance was in 2024; and since then, Cignal has yet to breach the podium.
"My goal for myself is to be able to help Cignal win the championship. That's it," Gandler declared as she towed Cignal to a bounce-back win over Zus Coffee, 25-18, 25-23, 25-22, on Thursday at the Filoil Centre in San Juan.

Walking the talk, Gandler has been averaging 16.7 points per game for Cignal. She posted 20 points on 18 attacks and two blocks to go along with 13 excellent receptions and four excellent digs, proving her status as Cignal's go-to scorer.
Still, Gandler downplayed such thing and insisted that she is just doing her part for the team by making aggressive plays.
"I'm not really looking at it like I'm the front of the offense. I'm just doing everything I can do to help the team," she said. "So, when I see that the team needs to make a point, I try to be as aggressive as I can be because I know that I prepare well naman."
