MANILA — Cignal quickly got on board in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference standings.
The Super Spikers made fast work of Galeries Tower, 25-17, 25-14, 25-11, to open the PVL action on Saturday at the Filoil Centre in San Juan.

Coach Shaq delos Santos gave credit to the team's offseason preparations for its winning start.
"I think 'yung ano lang, 'yung naging investment namin nung offseason. One thing din na naging advantage para sa amin is 'yung camp namin sa Japan," said Delos Santos during the postgame interview.
Cignal dominated all scoring aspects of the game, tallying 46 attack points compared to Galeries' 24; 8-2 in blocking, and 8-0 in service aces—six of those from Tin Tiamzon.
Tiamzon led with 18 points and five excellent receptions, while Vanie Gandler and Erika Santos had 14 and 13 points, respectively.
Meanwhile, even after undergoing rebuild, Galeries struggled in its first game.
Veteran Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, in her first game in a Highrisers jersey, had five points, while the lone scorer in double digits was Erika Deloria, who had 10 markers.
