MANILA — Top women's volleyball players will be gathering in the Philippines from June 17 to 21 this year.
The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) announced Wednesday on its social media that the country will be hosting the Week 2 of the Women's Volleyball Nations League (VNL).
The hosting is supported by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), ensuring the aid of sports stakeholders for the event.
The national teams from Italy (defending champion), Japan, USA, Serbia, Dominican Republic, and Czechia will duke it out on Filipino soil, with the exact venue yet to be announced.
Italy is gunning for a three-peat, having won in 2024 and 2025.
This marks another international volleyball hosting for the Philippines after the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was held in Manila.
After Week 3, which will be hosted by Serbia, Hong Kong, and Japan, the Women's VNL will head and be concluded in China.
