MANILA — Zus Coffee is the first team to snag a spot in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference quarterfinals.
The Thunderbelles quelled Choco Mucho's fightback in four frames, 25-20, 25-22, 24-26, 25-19, to cement further their status as the team to beat in the import-laced conference, Saturday evening at the Candon City Arena in Ilocos Sur.
This marks the third time the Strong Group-backed squad's entry to the playoffs.

“Lahat ng games, magiging tight ‘yan. Pero kasi ako, andiyan ang tiwala ng teammates ko at ng coaches, kaya gusto ko lang talagang maayos ‘yung trabaho ko,” said playmaker Cloanne Mondonedo after steering the team to a pristine 6-0 record.
Mondonedo remained consistent on her plays, garnering 26 excellent sets and three points in the win. Import Anna DeBeer led five Zus Coffee players in twin-digit scoring with 20 points, as Riza Nogales nailed a whopping seven kill blocks for a total of 11 points.
Chinnie Arroyo (11 points), Jovelyn Gonzaga (10 points and four blocks), and AC Miner (10 points) all made their presence felt for Jerry Yee and company.
On the other hand, Alas Pilipinas star middle blocker Maddie Madayag tied on the same night a PVL record, joining the block party in Candon with 10 kill blocks, and had a total of 18 points.
Des Cheng, in one of her better games, had 12 points, and Isa Molde flirted with a triple-double of 11 markers, 12 excellent receptions, and nine excellent digs.
