MANILA — PLDT's blocking spelled the difference in its 25-19, 19-25, 25-16, 25-21 win over Galeries in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference in Candon, Ilocos Sur.
Tied with the Highrisers at 54-54 in attacks converted, the High Speed Hitters' 15 kill blocks were the pivotal point, as the Godfrey Okumu-coached squad only nailed five in the volleyball affair that lasted a little bit more than two hours.
"I was actually the worst blocker in college. After college, I kind of tried to perfect the craft, and I'm just glad that it's kinda showing," said 2025 Invitational MVP Savi Davison, who contributed three blocks and had a total of 21 points.
