MANILA — Choco Mucho returned to the win column by sweeping Nxled, 25-23, 25-19, 25-22, in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference on Tuesday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
This was a bounce-back win after the Flying Titans absorbed a 21-25, 20-25, 19-25 loss at the hands of the PLDT High Speed Hitters five days ago, also at the Big Dome.

Import Marlee Smith, in her first victory on Philippine soil, had 20 points on 18 attacks and two blocks, while playmaker Tia Andaya had 15 excellent sets to orchestrate the Choco Mucho offense, while registering eight points for herself.
Despite having a "good game," Flying Titans tactician Dante Alinsunurin said they are still "adjusting" with the duo.
"It was a good game talaga 'yung nangyari sa 'min. Although, still adjusting talaga kami with the setter [Tia Andaya] and Marlee [Smith] pero unti-unti nagka-rhythm kami sa laro namin and nakuha namin iyong game," he said.
The Flying Titans guarded the net well, firing 12 kill blocks, while Nxled only had four.
Despite cruising past Nxled in Sets 1 and 2, the Flying Titans trailed late in the final frame, 19-21. A 6-1 finishing blitz propelled the Flying Titans to victory, powered by Smith's kill block and sharp spikes.
On the other hand, the Chameleons had one bright spot in reinforcement Paola Martinez, who blasted 20 points to pace her side.
The Alinsunurin-coached squad seeks back-to-back wins against undefeated Farm Fresh on October 31, while Nxled eyes a breakthrough against Cignal on Oct. 25.
