MANILA, Philippines – The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) has inked a partnership with a healthcare company on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
The beauty care chain store Watsons was tapped to be the league's beauty and healthcare partner for the 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference, which is expected to give "exclusive perks" to volleyball fans.
The signing was attended by PVL officials, headed by president Ricky Palou, commissioner Sherwin Malonzo, and Marketing Director Fred Fateh.
Watsons executives were also there, bannered by Chief Operating Officer (COO) Jefferson L. Go, customer director Jared De Guzman, and Marketing, PR and sustainability controller Sharon Decapia.

"While PVL has captivated the nation with the incredible energy and talent of its athletes, we at Watsons believe we can take this league to even greater heights," said Go.
"With our expertise in health and beauty and our deep connection with our customers, we are here to help sustain and strengthen the players’ ability to excel on the court and beyond, and to enrich the experience of every passionate PVL fan who cheers them on," he added.
Decapia bared that Watsons targets exclusive discounts for their customers who are also PVL fans, and looks forward to arranging meet-and-greet events featuring stars of Philippine volleyball, such as Kim Kianna Dy, Jolina dela Cruz, and Fifi Sharma.
Dy and Dela Cruz also graced the event.

"We envision this to be more than a partnership, we really wanted this to be a collaboration where we bring together a lot of exclusive and exciting perks to PVL fans," Decapia said.
"Some of it, exclusive deals such as free tickets to the games and exclusive discounts [in our stores]... And then of course, exclusive meet-and-greets with our fantastic athletes and endorsers."
