Good news for football fans who want to see the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Sunday (February 9): there are still tickets available.
But they're not cheap.
According to StubHub, the average ticket price is hovering right around $7,100, which is down 16% Year on Year, and on par with Super Bowl LVII in Phoenix 2023, when the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs played for the championship.
StubHub spokesperson Adam Budelli says fatigue could be a factor in the lower ticket sales. "Both fan bases have won the Super Bowl in the past 10 years. Obviously, the Chiefs more than others. So at some point, you know, maybe you're willing to spend a little bit less to see that next Super Bowl win.”
Budelli says Pennsylvania buyers have purchased 21% of all tickets sold, while Kansas/Missouri buyers have purchased 10%.
