PBA Images.MANILA — It’s a double celebration for Barangay Ginebra San Miguel as RJ Abarrientos and Justin Brownlee were recognized for their respective brilliance in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup.
Abarrientos was named Best Player of the Conference, while Brownlee earned his fourth Best Import of the Conference award ahead of Game 4 of the Finals on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
The star sophomore has been dazzling for the Gin Kings, averaging 21.2 points, 5.1 assists, and 1.4 steals while shooting 47.6% from the field and 43.6% from three-point range.
Brownlee has been equally solid, norming 29.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and one block while shooting 48.1% from the field.
Abarrientos, Brownlee, and the rest of the Gin Kings will look to ride this momentum as they seek to build a 3-1 series lead over TNT Tropang 5G tonight.
