MANILA -- Filipino fans have a chance to see one of the NBA's brightest young stars when Anthony Edwards visits Manila on August 15 for his "Believe That. Tour."
The four-time All-Star from the Minnesota Timberwolves will be in town for the Anthony Edwards Fan Fest at Bonifacio Global City -- the culmination of a weeklong series of activities that includes a 1v1 tournament.
"We've always wanted to bring Anthony Edwards to the Philippines because we know how much Filipino fans connect with his personality and the way he plays the game," said Dave Sexton, country manager of adidas Philippines.
"Ant represents a new generation of basketball athletes who are as influential off the court as they are on it. The Fan Fest is our way of celebrating that connection while also bringing together the incredible basketball community that makes the Philippines one of the most passionate basketball nations in the world," he added.
From August 9-16, the adidas 5th Avenue transforms into the "Believe That. Tour Merch Store," highlighting Edwards' signature peach aesthetic.
Fans can shop exclusive "Manila, Believe That." tees, limited-edition decals designed with local artist Charlie Salazar, and a curated selection of Anthony Edwards footwear and apparel. The store will also be home to adidas Philippines' two basketball SMUs for 2026: the Anthony Edwards 2 "Magpakitang Gilas" and the recently launched Believe That. 1 "Tibay ng Lahi", both designed by Filipino creative Melvin Rodas.

On August 14, adidas and Foot Locker will host the "Believe That. Challenge," a nationwide 1v1 basketball tournament. Players can secure a spot in the tournament by purchasing any pair of the Anthony Edwards 2 or Believe That. 1 at Foot Locker stores or footlocker.ph and completing the online registration process before August 9.
One player will emerge victorious, take home ₱100,000, and receive the championship crown from Edwards himself.
The celebration culminates on August 15 with the Anthony Edwards Fan Fest, taking over BGC's 5th Avenue and C1 Park. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
The 24-year-old Edwards was the first overall pick in the 2020 NBA Rookie Draft. A two-time NBA All-Second Team selection, Edwards was the All-Star Game MVP in 2026 and won an Olympic gold medal with Team USA in the 2024 Paris Summer Games.
