MANILA — Kiefer Ravena wants to continue playing overseas after ending his contract with Yokohama B-Corsairs of the Japan B.League.
Ravena returned to Manila for the B.League Final Week 2026 viewing party and conducted a basketball clinic on Saturday.
The Filipino basketball star shared what his next move after two seasons with the Yokohama B-Corsairs.
"I'm very blessed to be able to play the way I played this season. You know, big props to my team here locally from my skills coaches, my strength and conditioning coach. Kasi it's a year-long plan. You have to really prepare for it to be able to play consistently in a high level such as the B-League," Ravena told reporters.

"Yung plans ko naman moving forward, I think I still want to play overseas. I think my body want to play overseas. I think my body can still play overseas. But yeah, I'm going back to Japan next season" he added.
At 32 years old, Ravena said he wants to make the most of his opportunities to play basketball outside the Philippines.
However, he made it clear he's not ruling out a return to the PBA at some point in his career.
"Of course not. I'm just trying to maximize my career right now. I've always loved playing with NLEX and I really owe a lot to the management, to the team. For now, of course, I gotta think of myself and maximizing my opportunities overseas," Ravena said.
"Ngayon, of course, basketball has changed a lot, landscape and then how it's being played, especially out in Japan, competition-wise. So yun, habang kaya pa ng katawan, kaya pa ng utak maglaro, adi subok lang na subok," he explained.

Ravena remained tight-lipped when asked which team he's joining next season.
"I just ended my contract with Yokohama. So I'm switching to another team next season. So I can't say where but nabangan niyo na lang yung news na yan," he said.
However, the former NLEX Road Warrior said his wife Diana and family will come first when he makes a decision.
"Siguro ano, it's just yung situation. Hopefully I get to a team wherein it's an easy adjustment. Siyempre, I want my family with me as much as I can. So, yun siguro yun ang mga hinahanap ko more than anything else para makapaglaro pa overseas," Ravena said.
"Siyempre, you want to plan as much as you can for the future but at the same time, you can't look too far ahead. You know, so I just want to make the most out of the opportunities," he added.

After two seasons with Yokohama, the Ateneo de Manila University product hopes he was able to improve and showcase his skills in the team's promising season.
"Individually, like personally, it's just a matter for me of locking in and really wanting to redeem myself. Maybe for, in my opinion, a lackluster year last year. I know I could have done better, much better. Pero, you know, the competitive juices kicked in," Ravena said.
"We kind of had a little chance of making a big run into the playoffs. Unfortunately, we didn't start the way we wanted to start. Some things out of our control but we were able to string a lot of games and show our potential, could have been potential as a team. So now I want to carry that momentum, that confidence into the next coming season," he added.
