This, as the Giant Risers held off Blackwater, 102-98, on Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Holding a four-point lead late, Titan Ultra got a crucial stop as Christian David missed a potential game-tying four-pointer. Rensy Bajar’s squad then kept possession and ran down the clock, preventing Blackwater from committing a foul.

Earlier, Joshua Munzon drained a four-pointer to push Titan Ultra’s lead to eight, 102-94. Blackwater still closed within striking distance behind baskets from Robert Upshaw III and Richard Escoto, just as Munzon missed a forced three-pointer that kept the door open for Blackwater. However, David failed to capitalize on it.
"I just want to be aggressive," said Munzon, who dropped 25 points along with four rebounds and four assists to lead Titan Ultra. Michael Gilmore added 21 points and 15 rebounds, while Aris Dionisio chipped in 11 points and six boards.

It was a bounce-back win for Titan Ultra after a 105-118 loss to Meralco Bolts in their previous outing.
Meanwhile, Blackwater absorbed its fourth loss in five games, with Upshaw III and Sedrick Barefield scoring 25 points each.
