MANILA -- Meralco is back in the win column in the PBA Season 50 Commissioners Cup after fending off Titan Ultra, 118-105, on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Five players scored in double-digits for the Bolts, who bounced back from a slim loss to Rain or Shine in their previous assignment and improved to 3-1.
Import Marvin Jones put up a 24-point, 14-rebound double-double, while CJ Cansino torched Titan Ultra for 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting.
The Bolts led by as many as 28 points, but the Giant Risers trimmed the deficit to single digits, 97-89, with under five minutes to play.
Meralco responded with an 8-0 blast that restored order, 106-89, and the Bolts cruised from there.
Bryan Sajonia fired 29 points while import Michael Gilmore had 25 points and 16 boards in a losing effort for Titan Ultra.
The Giant Risers fell to 1-3, failing to build on an upset of San Miguel in their previous game.
