The former University of the Philippines stars were hailed as the KBL Rookie of the Year, and as a member of the Mythical 5, respectively, after their performances in the present year.
Fresh off this UAAP Season 87 championship with the Fighting Maroons, Cagulangan posted 7.3 points, 4.3 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.5 steals for the playoff-bound KT Sonic Boom.
On the other hand, Tamayo delivered 15.1 markers on 31.% shooting from beyond the arc, and this was with 5.8 boards and 2.2 dimes for the Changwon LG Sakers which are also in the playoffs.
Aside from Tamayo, Kim Sunhyung, An Youngjun (MVP), Jameel Warney (Best Import), and Assem Marei were also in the Best 5.
