MANILA – The PLDT High Speed Hitters took only 1 hour, 33 minutes to rout Galeries, 25-19, 25-16, 25-17, in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference on Saturday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
They were coming from a sweet win against All-Filipino champions Creamline Cool Smashers earlier this week.
Russian import Elena Samoilenko did what was expected of her and fired 14 points on 11 attacks and three blocks, while Fiolla Ceballos chipped in 10 markers for the PLDT offense.
Libero Kath Arado was there to prevent the ball from dropping for the red and white jerseys as she listed 16 excellent digs and nine excellent receptions.

The Rald Ricafort-coached squad also dominated through its net defense and registered a total of eight blocks compared to the Highrisers' two.
Ricafort was just happy to start strong in the import-laden conference.
"Happy na nakuha ‘yung panalo, happy din na nakapag-perform ‘yung second stringers," he said during the postgame press conference.
For the PLDT reinforcement, every game is a chance to get better.
"Of course, every game we need to stay a little bit better, you know, step by step, and every after game we will [do] better," Samoilenko said.
France Ronquillo paced the defeated side with 11 markers.

After cruising to a 2-0 set lead, the High Speed Hitters went beast mode and opened the final canto with a 7-0 run and never looked back.
Samoilenko and the rest of PLDT can stay perfect against the Farm Fresh Foxies on Thursday, July 25, while Galeries could bounce back versus Chery Tiggo at the same game date and venue.
