CEBU — Xiaomi Philippines has officially launched the Redmi 15 Note series of midrange smartphones which promise increased durability and improved battery life.
The new Redmi phones are "Titan Tough" according to Xiaomi, with flagship-level durability and performance at an accessible price point.
Durability seems to be the buzzword in the midrange market segment these days, as Xiaomi touted its Redmi Titan Structure, which features a high-strength fiberglass back panel that the company says provides 10 times stronger impact resistance than previous generations.
The top-tier Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and has earned the industry’s first SGS Premium Performance Certification for drop, crush, and bend resistance—successfully withstanding a 2.5-meter front drop test without damage, Xiaomi said.

The company showed tech journalists and influencers how a new Redmi phone was able to survive being dropped from a paraglider.
Meanwhile, for users prone to water accidents, the series boasts IP66, IP68, and IP69K dust and water resistance. It has also received the TÜV SÜD Water-resistant Endurance Certification, simulating a full year of intensive moisture exposure while maintaining airtight performance.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, supported by the Xiaomi IceLoop cooling system to prevent overheating during heavy gaming.
The 6,500 mAh battery utilizes silicon-carbon technology, which the company says can offer up to six years of healthy battery life or 1,600 charge cycles. It also features 100W 'hyper charging' and 22.5W reverse charging capabilities. This means that you can use it to charge another phone or gadget.
The device features a 6.83 AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits.
Photography enthusiasts can take advantage of the new 200 megapixel main camera that can do a pretty good cropped 4x zoom and can shoot 4k video at 30 frames per second. It also has an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 32 MP camera up front to take care of selfie duties.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G will sell for P25,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the 512GB variant will be P27,999.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, which uses a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip meanwhile will start at P18,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro, sans 5G connectivity, meanwhile starts are P14,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model.
Xiaomi said customers who preorder the new phones from Jan. 16-29 will get freebies including a Xiaomi Smart Band 10 and a photocard pack and poster of P-pop band SB19.
