MANILA - AIA Philippines and its bancassurance partner BPI AIA secured four major accolades at the Insurance Asia Awards 2026, recognized for innovations in healthcare access, digital integration, and workforce development, the companies announced.
AIA Philippines bagged three awards, including Health Insurance Initiative of the Year for its healthcare arm, MediCard, which provides a nationwide network of over 1,567 hospitals and clinics.
The firm was also awarded Community Initiative of the Year for its EDGE university internship pipeline and Training & Development Initiative of the Year for its Grow@AIA employee skills program.
“As the needs of our customers continue to evolve, so must the role of insurance—not only as a source of financial protection, but as an enabler of better health, greater access to care, and stronger communities," said Melita Teo, President and CEO, AIA Philippines.
"These awards reflect our commitment to making protection more accessible and relevant to the people we serve, while fostering a workplace culture that empowers our employees to bring our purpose to life,” she added.
Meanwhile, BPI AIA won Bancassurance Initiative of the Year for embedding insurance products like InstaProtect directly into the BPI Mobile App, bridging the national protection gap through accessible digital channels.
Highlighting the company's internal culture, AIA Philippines Chief HR Officer Ellen Imasa said the awards reaffirm their commitment to an inclusive, purpose-led culture where people can grow, contribute, and belong.
