Having achieved his biggest breakthroughs in wildly popular rom-com projects that are still remembered by a lot of millennials and Gen Z audiences today, combined with his highly praised musical endeavors as an independent artist, Multimedia Prince James Reid has everything it takes to make an exciting comeback in the Kapamilya primetime lineup.
James will portray Jordan Valentin, the ever-supportive and protective best friend of Billy Cariño (played by Kathryn Bernardo). Growing up as close companions, Jordan and Billy ultimately consider themselves to be each other’s family. However, for Jordan’s girlfriend Valerie Jones (played by Daniela Stranner), the connection that Billy and Jordan share is something that should be dealt with.
Many have been hoping for James’ newest career move in acting, especially given that he has already gone through several acting stints that remain unforgettable.
At the age of 17, James participated in the memorable “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash 2010,” where he was among the ten “teenternational” housemates that included Ryan Bang and Bret Jackson. Despite experiencing serious health issues during the course of his journey inside the “PBB” house, James ultimately emerged as the Big Winner of the reality show’s season.
Shortly after winning the competition, James became part of the teen drama “Good Vibes,” which brought attention to the youth’s passion for dancing. Besides that, the story explored the theme of brotherhood through the clashing characters of Sam Conception and Enrique Gil. In this series, James was partnered with his co-housemate Devon Seron.
A year later, James appeared as a supporting character in “Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Pintada” alongside another fellow housemate, Yen Santos, with whom he was paired.
Around the same time as his major success in “Diary ng Panget,” James and Nadine Lustre solidified their love team as “JaDine” through their very first series together titled “Wansapanataym Presents: My App #Boyfie,” which was a TV adaptation of the Wattpad story by Noreen Capili.
To boost the interest centered around their love team even further, they carried on to complete “Maalaala Mo Kaya: Stuffed Toy” in 2015. With their respective roles as Carmina and Yong, they became acquainted with the realities of love, not just grounded in romance novels and signs of love.
The two then starred in the sensational “On the Wings of Love,” where their characters Clark Medina and Leah Oliver become entangled through a marriage of convenience in the United States until the point when their superficial relationship soon evolves into true love.
James’ final teleserye project with Nadine was “Till I Met You” in 2016. This allowed them to show their more mature personalities as Basti Valderama and Iris Duico, particularly since it addressed deeper relationship struggles and featured a diverse storyline with JC Santos playing the part of Ali Nicolas.
Stay tuned in for James Reid’s unwavering charisma in “Someone, Someday,” kicking off on July 27 at 8:45 PM on ALLTV2, TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL) on Facebook and YouTube. It will also be available on TFC, iWant and Netflix.
