Leaving behind her “nonchalant” TikTok persona, Lucky Star Joyang wore her heart on her sleeve as she bravely faced the pressure on "Kapamilya, Deal Or No Deal." During the game show’s July 11 episode, the Lucky Wheel landed on her assigned briefcase, number 18, officially selecting her as the celebrity player for the night.
Popularly known as TikTok’s Banana Queen, the low-energy dancing content creator shared in her introduction video that she once pursued her dream of working abroad as a cook, but to no avail. Now, Joyang is slowly carving out a place for herself in the entertainment industry, playfully quipping, “Pang-showbiz daw po ang aking mukha.”
Determined to win the game show’s elusive ₱1 million jackpot, the celebrity player chose to keep her assigned briefcase throughout the game, hoping to fulfill her family’s dream of owning a car.
Pulling out a banana prop out of nowhere, she jokingly appealed to the Banker, “Sa’yo na lang ’tong saging, akin ang ₱1 million.”
Her opening round appeared to be a promising start after she revealed the ₱400 and ₱10,000 amounts from her first two briefcases. However, in an ironic turn of events, Joyang soon eliminated two six-digit cash prizes—₱125,000 and ₱150,000. Still, she was relieved to avoid the dreaded fate of going home as a “Pisonaryo” after uncovering the ₱1 briefcase early in the game.
Declining the Banker’s initial offer of ₱59,500, Joyang advanced to the second round with high hopes. However, her optimism quickly faded after she immediately uncovered the ₱1 million jackpot. Despite the major setback, she kept her spirits high and gradually eliminated the lower cash amounts remaining on the board.
Unfazed by veteran comedian Negi’s warning that his briefcase contained a high-value prize, Joyang refused to let fear get the best of her. Her confidence paid off when Negi’s briefcase turned out to contain only ₱500. However, her seemingly unstoppable streak of eliminating only the lower cash prizes came to an end in the sixth round after she revealed the ₱250,000 amount.
Tempted by the Banker’s final offer of ₱265,000, Joyang carefully weighed her options, especially with only the ₱100,000 and ₱500,000 amounts left on the board. In the end, Joyang pushed her bravery to the limit, told the Banker “No Deal,” and chose to see the game through to the very end.

Joyang’s eyes welled up with tears as Pambansang Host Luis Manzano announced that she had won the higher amount of ₱500,000, making her one of the game show’s most memorable winners. Still in disbelief, Joyang reflected on what gave her the courage to turn down the Banker’s final offer of ₱265,000.
“Parang first time ko pong lumaban nang ganito, so parang inilaban ko na talaga siya,” she said.
