Upon arriving home, Sam (Julia Montes) was enthusiastically welcomed by her mom, Isabel (Carmi Martin); her sister, Maxene (Arci Muñoz); and their househelper Twinkle (Tess Antonio), after learning about her heroic deed through the newscast.
Isabel later teased her younger daughter upon discovering that the bouquet of flowers Sam had brought home was from her fellow NCIA agent and longtime suitor, Sebastian (JC de Vera). She subsequently commended Sam after hearing from her that she had been chosen by their head at the NCIA to lead the team investigating a new case.
Their dad, Ricardo (Edu Manzano), then involved Sam and Maxene in their family’s business meeting with their associate Pinky (Pinky Tobiano), regarding the acquisition of the land where Barangay Ginintuang Lupa sits. While Maxene supported their parents’ decision, Sam expressed concern that the area was home to a large population, including criminals. She further argued that many families would be displaced once the development project pushed through, but her concerns went unheeded as her parents and sister maintained their position.
Later that night, Sam had a lighthearted conversation with Maxene in her room, recalling the bus robbery incident that transpired earlier that day. As she recounted the chaotic moment she had
shared with Gabo, a subtle smile appeared on her face, prompting Maxene to tease her that she did not seem truly offended by what the “sleazy guy” had done to her. Sam insisted that she was not smiling and urged Maxene to go to bed, with the latter reminding the former that she was only asking for the suspect’s description so she could track him down and file charges.
After Maxene obliged, Sam was left alone, still subtly smiling at herself as she took a sip of the coffee her sister had brought her.
