The ABS-CBN Studios all-star Sunday afternoon party that generations of fans have loved for over three decades has officially entered a new era with a quite fresh name and greater experience—welcome to “ASAP XP”!

To usher in this significant transformation that promises a “new ASAP experience” that’s bigger, bolder, and louder, not just one but two spectacular shows were staged at the Big Dome last May 10 due to overwhelming public demand. These were eventually divided into five episodes over the past weeks, allowing more Kapamilyas across the Philippines and around the world to witness and enjoy the momentous feat.

If you enjoyed the world-class performances, unforgettable collaborations, and feel-good entertainment you witnessed onscreen, wait until you get glimpses of the fun, thrilling, and kilig happenings behind the scenes of “ASAP XP” through these exclusive videos featuring clips captured by ABS-CBN Studios before, during, and after the two shows.

Before we got to see them all glammed up and ready to conquer the stage with their explosive and exhilarating opening number for the first show, this behind-the-scenes montage gives fans a glimpse of BINI, OPM icons, singing champions, and other Kapamilya stars preparing for their performances while dressed in their casual outfits during the stage rehearsals. The artists were also spotted enthusiastically greeting another, sharing playful moments, and taking photos together backstage.

Among the acts we witnessed from the very first show was BINI’s sizzling and captivating performance of “Pantropiko” during the opening number in the May 17 episode, which marked their homecoming following their momentous appearance at Coachella last April.

Kilig also filled Araneta Coliseum as four Kapamilya Gen Z loveteams captured our hearts with their sweet duets! Kyle Echarri and Kai Montinola delighted “KaiKyle” shippers with their undeniable chemistry while singing TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan’s hit song “Palagi.” Following them was the fan-favorite tandem of JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith, who charmed the JMFyang fans with their duet of “Tahanan” by El Manu and Jessy Kang.

The Chambermaid’s Daughter” stars Alexa Ilacad and BGYO Gelo Rivera took the stage next and thrilled GeLex followers with their effortless singing of “Tingin” by Cup and Joe and Janine Teñoso. The beloved pair of Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin completed the lineup with their tender performance of Zack Tabudlo’s “Habang Buhay.”

“Asia’s Songbird” Regine Velasquez-Alcasid also conquered the stage, demonstrating her signature powerhouse vocals through her rendition of “Banal na Aso, Santong Kabayo” by OPM rock band Yano. She was later joined onstage by new-gen male champions Marko Rudio, Reiven Umali, JM Yosures, and Khimo Gumatay as they performed together a medley of rock hits including “Iris” by Goo Goo Dolls, “Sacrifice” by Creed, and “The Reason” by The Hoobstank.

In the May 24 episode, BINI definitely made viewers “lose track of the time” and wished they could “rewind and repeat” the moment they performed “Unang Kilig,” which left audiences—especially the Blooms—smiling from start to finish and even dancing along to the upbeat track that reminds us of the thrill, sweetness, and magic of young love.

For the umpteenth time, “Asia’s Pop Heartthrob” Darren celebrated his birthday on the “ASAP” stage with an invigorating musical number. As he marked his milestone 25th birthday last May 24, he treated everyone with his live performance of “Ikaw Pa Rin,” which is his collaboration with DJ MOD.

Capping off the said episode was Maki, who performed three of his fan-favorite tracks that both uplifted and tugged at the heartstrings of spectators. He opened his set with his well-loved hit “Dilaw,” followed it up with “Nangungulila” alongside Jarren Garcia and KD Estrdada, and ended his set with a heartfelt performance of “Kailan.”

To accommodate more Kapamilya fans who wanted to watch their favorite stars perform live, a second show was mounted at 7 PM. Despite it already being the second show, the “ASAP” family made sure to still deliver the same level of energy and excellence onstage.

In this exclusive behind-the-scenes video, several artists were spotted doing last-minute rehearsals, refreshing themselves and their co-performers on their choreography and routines.

Although they had been at the venue since morning, yet the energy of the artists remained sky-high as they were caught sharing lighthearted moments backstage and even doing impromptu photoshoots! Some were also more than game to face the camera for interviews and photo opportunities.

The May 31 episode kicked off with a slew of explosive musical numbers from the stars of “ASAP XP,” including the version of SB19’s “Go Up” that was rendered by Martin Nievera, Erik Santos, Sofronio Vasquez, and Jason Dy. Impressing us with an exhilarating dance break were Jane De Leon and the KaiKyle and JMFyang tandems.

Araneta Coliseum instantly transformed into a massive sing-along fest as the “Asia’s Songbird” belted out five of her most iconic hits from across the years alongside four of today’s most promising and talented female artists. The special number commenced with Regine singing “Araw Gabi” together with Alexa, Kai, Elha Nympha, and Esang de Torres.

Alexa captivated the audience with her rendition of “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw”; Kai delivered a heartfelt performance of “Ikaw”; Esang got the crowd singing along with her as she performed “Dadalhin”; while Elha rounded out the tribute with her moving version of “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka.”  The remarkable set concluded with the four amazing women joining forces for a rousing reprise of “Araw Gabi.”

JM and Fyang looked so radiant while singing “Ligaya,” Kai and Jarren delighted their shippers with their performance of “Huwag Kang Matakot,” while Francine and Seth captivated fans with their take on “Alapaap.”

For the grand finale, the three onscreen pairs came together to sing the ever-iconic “Ang Huling El Bimbo.” But instead of simply staying onstage, they stepped into the audience area and invited everyone to sing along with them, transforming the venue into one giant karaoke session.
