Behind their sharp abilities, stern appearances, and outstanding credentials as the new members of the highly accomplished Task Force Alpha in “Blood vs Duty,” Albie Casiño, Lou Yanong, LA Santos, and River Joseph took a brief break from their fierce characters and played “Who is the Spy Challenge” during the May 7 episode of Kapamilya Chat.
The game mechanics are simple: three out of the four players receive the same keyword, while the remaining player—the spy—gets a different one that the group must identify. To accurately determine who the spy is, all players must describe the keyword distinctly. Meanwhile, to avoid being caught, the spy must blend in by tailoring his response to match the given descriptions.
Another thing to remember is that the spy is also capable of winning by correctly guessing the keyword, even if their identity is already exposed.
For the first round, the common word was “police,” which Albie, Lou, LA, and River quickly adjusted to, defining the role as “nangpapalo ako,” “kailangan ko siyang gawin,” “nababayaran ako,” and “may baril ako.”
Bringing a touch of fun to the game, Albie and River got suspicious of each other, much like Lou and LA, who were humorously selecting one another as the spy. Upon being given another shot at clarifying the keyword, all agreed that it was Albie, since he detailed it in such a way that his hair should be properly cut or styled.
Albie was in fact the spy, but he succeeded in winning over the others the moment he cleverly guessed the word and even convinced LA.
In the second round, the comical exchanges among the group kept being memorable. For “blood” as the chosen word, River decided to go for “duty” as its definition, in reference to their show’s title. The other three also provided persuasive answers, from the subject being something difficult to fake while filming to being found inside the human body.
Once more responses were heard, Albie grew increasingly enthusiastic about LA’s inaccurate statement, cluelessly pointing out that “blood” shouldn’t be “excessive” on an airplane. While LA was clearly the spy, he ultimately fell short in figuring out the keyword.
“Gun” was the final word for the last round. Lou was initially suspected by her peers, especially by Albie, when she took time to share her insights, but soon enough, LA was revealed again as the spy, making everyone in the room burst into laughter.
