As Marcus (Richard Gutierrez) becomes aware of the anomalies that disrupted Task Force Alpha’s operations, resulting in fatalities, he particularly identifies that there was another faction that was responsible for the shooting.
Shortly thereafter, Marcus gets word concerning the news, with the public criticizing his leadership that enabled innocent civilians to be executed without any due process. He then heads back to the headquarters and gets confronted by enraged protesters, making him out as a murderer.
When he encounters Lara inside, he whispers to her that the disorder that interfered with Task Force Alpha’s mission was orchestrated by an entirely different organization.
Marcus attempts to clarify this to Director Emil (Rommel Padilla) but receives harsh criticism instead for negatively impacting the agency’s reputation. Before the director walks away, he reminds Marcus that he will have plenty of time to explain his side on the next meetings.
