In the wake of Edong’s (Jake Cuenca) tragic death, he is buried beside his mother, Dolores (Jennica Garcia). Living through immense grief, Lucas (JM de Guzman) walks in on their resting tombs and speaks softly to Edong, almost as though he were still alive.
Lucas then reassures Edong, his older brother, as he always has, that their mother loved him regardless of who he has become throughout his life. Sharing the same emotions, Lucas also fondly recalls how he fulfilled his promise to Edong that he wouldn’t abandon him but was faced with no choice other than leading Edong to let go of his painful resentment.
As he weeps, Lucas wishes for Edong to finally find the peace that the world relentlessly refused to give him, while pleading once more for his forgiveness, given his failure to provide Edong with the chance to start over.
Despite the sorrow trying to weigh him down, Lucas makes a vow to build a future that Edong and Dolores will be proud of.
