Subsequent to Alice’s (Janella Salvador) disappearance, her wounds were deduced to be from her wandering the dark forest. In the first few days of Alice’s recovery, Mike (Geoff Eigenmann) approached Edward (Joel Molina), informing him of Alice’s unusual behavior and their plans to get her checked by a doctor.
Initially petrified at the thought of Alice suddenly remembering what he did to her, Edward nervously visited Alice, who then surprisingly greeted him with a cheerful disposition.
At the present, Edward regards that moment as a miracle, as he was saved from a lifetime of doom. In disbelief, Alice stresses that she was traumatized to the point of burying it into the depths of her mind, with only bits of it crawling out years after.
Alice’s trauma from Edward also, unfortunately, dragged her husband into her struggle, whom she falsely accused of abusing her for months.
Despite all this suffering, Edward continues to believe that something miraculous occurred because of the way he got closer to Alice’s parents, and especially her.
