Vincent (Paulo Avelino) and Stella (Kim Chiu) cross paths for the first time in the pilot episode of “The Alibi.”
As Vincent prepares to leave his house for work, he takes a phone call from one of his staff, who informs him about the struggles they are currently facing in Cabrera News. Vincent becomes authoritative as he speaks over the phone, enough to ensure everyone does their work properly.
On his drive to the office, Vincent gets caught in a minor road rage incident with a taxi on the highway, where they nearly bump into each other. Fueled by anger, Vincent steps out of his car and knocks on the driver’s window, prompting him to face Vincent. He blames the driver for causing the near accident, only to be threatened as the driver fires back.
The delay causes Stella to come out of the taxi, all dressed up and looking fierce. She urges the driver to move quickly and leave, but before fully departing, she removes her sunglasses and briefly checks out Vincent, a sly smirk forming on her face. Vincent stares back at Stella, the brief encounter sparking a possible tension between the two.
