Following the complicated conversations about using Crisanto (Gerald Madrid) as bait to firmly catch the elusive Edong (Jake Cuenca), as well as Erica (Kaila Estrada) and Lucas (JM de Guzman) speaking about sparing Edong’s life, Lucas receives a long-anticipated call from Edong.
With seething frustration, Edong questions why Lucas had not informed him of Crisanto’s arrival after sixteen years on the run from killing their mother, Dolores (Jennica Garcia), alongside committing a separate crime at Cavite.
Lucas immediately reasons that Edong had closed all communications with him, making it difficult to impart the occurrence. Despite this, Edong insists that Lucas should have waited for him to arrive, which Lucas counters, pointing out that Crisanto’s return was unforeseen.
Edong continues, remarking that it shouldn’t be the police who should punish Crisanto, but rather, him and Lucas, as it would mean that they had successfully avenged their mother.
Agreeing while sticking to Erica’s plan, Lucas carefully details how he can lead Edong to Crisanto, particularly during the exact moment when Crisanto will be moved to Cavite for a hearing.
Sounding satisfied, Edong becomes convinced of Lucas’ words, leaving a final message for him to distance himself from Erica, Beth (Charlie Dizon), Mel (Sue Ramirez), and Alice (Janella Salvador) for good.
