Marking the start of the road to Big Night, Kuya begins the formation of his "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" Ultimate 8.
As previously announced by Big Brother, only one group out of the remaining ten housemates will advance to the Big Night. This group will consist of eight members—composed of the Kapamilya Big 4 and the Kapuso Big 4.
To kick off this selection, a Big Jump Challenge will take place. In this challenge, one Kapamilya will go head-to-head with another Kapamilya, and one Kapuso will battle it out with another Kapuso.
The current housemates (Marco Masa, Heath Jornales, Caprice Cayetano, Princess Aliyah, Ashley Sarmiento, Lella Ford, Krystal Mejes, Miguel Vergara, Joaquin Arce, and Carmelle Collado) were given the power to choose one Kapamilya and one Kapuso to participate in the said Big Jump.
The February 3 episode delivered intense scenes, as the housemates had to find out, face-to-face, who voted for whom.
Starting off with the Kapuso bracket, Kuya asked everyone who picked Marco to take one step forward—only for it to be revealed that the only person who voted for him was himself. "Gusto kong maging proud 'yung mga taong naniwala po at sumuporta para sa second chance ko po dito sa bahay n'yo, Kuya, kaya gagamitin ko po ang pagkakataon na ito bilang pasasalamat po sa kanila at para maipakita ko 'yung best ko," he said in the confession room. "Sobrang tanggap ko po at in-expect ko na gano'n ang mangyayari. Pero sa kabila po no'n, eager po ako na lumaban hanggang dulo," he added, reflecting on not being chosen by the other housemates.
Princess also received one vote, which came from Lella, who explained that she picked Princess for being one of the house’s task slayers. Princess reacted, "I'm so grateful for Lella na ako 'yung naisip niya bilang isa sa mga taong mabigyan ng big ticket."
Ashley, meanwhile, got two votes from Princess and Krystal. “She really has a heart, a heart that’s genuinely sincere, and her goal is to inspire people,” shared Princess about Ashley.
Heath earned two votes—from Caprice and Miguel—both of whom believes in his pure and genuine character. Heath admitted he didn’t expect anyone to choose him, but he was happy to know that someone did.
For Caprice, the votes totaled four. One came from Heath, while the other three were from Ashley, Carmelle, and Joaquin. "Isa siya sa mga housemates na hindi tumutupi no matter how hard your hamon is, Kuya," Heath described Caprice. For Joaquin, Caprice is without a doubt his Kapuso Big Winner.
Over at the Kapamilya camp, Krystal scored zero votes. "Hindi ko naman in-expect, Kuya, na may boboto sa akin kasi there are people here who's more deserving and that's okay. Tiwala lang po na if I'm meant to make it until the end, God will always make a way," she mused.
Meanwhile, Miguel garnered one vote—and it came from Krystal. “He’s grown a lot in this house,” Krystal spoke about her friend, whom she also describes as strategic and smart.
Joaquin took one vote, which came from Marco, who believes that ever since he returned to the house as a wildcard, he'd seen Joaquin step up in tasks.
Carmelle secured three votes—from Krystal, Princess, and herself. "She's very talented and 'yung talent niya, hindi niya sinasarili," noted Princess, adding that Carmelle brings color and energy to the house.
Lella received five votes—from Ashley, Joaquin, Miguel, Heath, and herself. Joaquin mentioned that while he wanted a ticket to the Big Jump, he’d rather give that chance to Lella.
This means Caprice and Lella secured the Big Tickets for the upcoming Big Jump Challenge. The question now is: which housemates will go up against them? That will be determined in an upcoming elimination challenge.
