Tina Turner’s powerful, raspy voice is what makes her a one-of-a-kind artist, even more so with her electrifying energy whenever she steps onstage. With timeless hits like “Proud Mary” and “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” it’s no wonder she earned the title “Queen of Rock ’n’ Roll,” as her stage presence and vocal mastery remain unmatched.

The 6 transformations in “Your Face Sounds Familiar” stand as a true testament to her legacy, with our talented ka-Familiars delivering fiery tributes as they become the iconic Tina Turner.

Nyoy Volante (YFSF Season 1, 2015) - “Proud Mary”

A gender-switch transformation did not stop Nyoy from showing a different side of himself as he sang the anthem “Proud Mary.” His look was a spot-on copy of Tina Turner, from the hair and makeup down to the golden fringe dress. His performance hyped up the crowd, even the jury enjoying every bit of it.

“Is there anything you cannot do well?” Judge Sharon Cuneta asked, visibly impressed by Nyoy. “Ang dami mong ginawa for your number… sobrang galing mo,” she said, with Judge Jed Madela echoing the same sentiment. He added that Nyoy truly rocked the house and looked exactly like Tina Turner.

Judge Gary Valenciano took notice of how well Nyoy performed in heels, even joking that he must have worn them before. More importantly, Gary had nothing but praise for him, dubbing Nyoy the standard among the other performers.

Nyoy placed 2nd at the end of the season.

KZ Tandingan (YFSF Season 2, 2015) - “What's Love Got To Do With It”

Tina Turner’s signature strut was all KZ needed to embody the icon. Singing “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” she owned the stage with vocals and nuances that mirrored the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll. For Judge Sharon Cuneta, it wasn’t KZ on stage that night, it was Tina Turner herself. “Hindi ko in-imagine na ganito ka-perfect mong magagawa,” she said.

Judge Jed Madela described KZ’s performance as one of a kind, standing out from the other transformations he had seen. He noted that he didn’t even need to focus on her mannerisms, her facial expressions alone were enough to become Tina Turner.

Calling the number “brilliant,” Judge Gary Valenciano observed that he had previously seen KZ trying to compete with everyone whenever she performed, but this time, she simply enjoyed being on stage. “Kaya paglabas mo kanina… ‘yung galaw niya, eksakto sa ginawa mo,” he said, adding that KZ had exceeded his expectations.

KZ placed 4th at the end of the season.

Lyca Gairanod (YFSF Kids Season 1, 2017) - “Proud Mary”

Lyca delivered powerhouse vocals in her rendition of “Proud Mary.” From the very start, the jury was already hyping her up, and when the beat dropped, the crowd erupted as she lit up the stage. By the end of her number, the judges rose to their feet, giving her a standing ovation.

According to Judge Ogie Alcasid, Lyca made great use of her energy. “Ito ang breakthrough performance mo. I am so happy, Tina Turner ka na talaga,” he said. Judge Gary Valenciano followed, praising Lyca for proving herself as a total performer.

“Vocally, swak na swak pa,” Gary added, highlighting her stability while doing Tina Turner’s dance moves. And for Judge Sharon Cuneta, Lyca gave her all on stage. “Ang galing galing mo!” she exclaimed, saying only a few words but continuing to clap for Lyca.

Lyca placed 7th at the end of the season.

Noel Comia Jr. (YFSF Kids Season 2, 2018) - “What's Love Got To Do With It”

Noel did not back down from the challenge of becoming Tina Turner, giving his own take on the song “What’s Love Got To Do With.” After singing, he greeted the audience as Tina, fully mimicking her accent.

For Coach Nyoy Volante, it was a nostalgic moment as he himself had performed as Tina Turner back in “YFSF Season 1” and could relate to how difficult it must have been for Noel. He later shared that what he admired most about Noel was his commitment, especially in capturing the movements the icon brings onstage.

Judge Sharon Cuneta shared the same observations, noting that he did great. Finally, Judge Ogie Alcasid expressed his pride. “You’re so good,” he said, agreeing that Noel was truly born to be in the spotlight.

Noel placed 6th at the end of the season.

Jhong Hilario (YFSF Season 3, 2021) - “Proud Mary"

Jhong took his “Sample King” title to the next level as he transformed into the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, adding his own flavor to the hit “Proud Mary.” Even before he sang the first note, the way he spoke already channeled Tina Turner, impressing the judges. Later on, Jhong revealed that he watched Coach Nyoy Volante's Tina Turner transformation back in “YFSF Season 1” as part of his preparation.

“The performance was so powerful,” said Judge Gary Valenciano, commending him for capturing the singer perfectly. Judge Ogie Alcasid agreed, rating Jhong’s transformation 99.9% accurate. “Pati ‘yung physique mo, Tina Turner talaga,” he said.

Judge Sharon Cuneta, who always expects Jhong to deliver, considered this one of his most outstanding performances. “Kasi ‘yung buka ng bibig, pagsasalita, talagang [gayang-gaya]. Mabuhay ka,” she added.

Jhong placed 8th at the end of the season.

JM Dela Cerna (YFSF Season 4, 2026) - “Hot Legs” with Marielle Montellano

JMielle switched things up with their performance of “Hot Legs,” featuring Marielle as Rod Stewart and JM Dela Cerna as Tina Turner. The duo brought out a different side of themselves we had never seen before, with hosts Jhong Hilario and Vhong Navarro even remarking that they no longer saw JM and Marielle but the musical legends.

Judge Sharon Cuneta was deeply entertained by their number. “Hindi ko talaga nakita silang dalawa. When it’s JM and Marielle, you cannot expect anything less than the best. Wala kayong hindi kayang gawin. Si JM, ang galing galing ng pagkaka-gaya [kay Tina Turner],” she said, clearly satisfied.

Marking it as his first standing ovation of the season, Judge Gary Valenciano praised JMielle’s consistency in their transformations. “Iba talaga ‘yung hitsura ninyo, pero nung kumanta na kayo, dun nakita namin kung gaano kayo ka-excellent sa ginagawa n’yo,” he said. To cap off the comments, Judge Ogie Alcasid kept it short but impactful, “Excellent performance.”
