Known for her dynamic range and signature melismatic style, Christina Aguilera stands among the most powerful vocalists in modern music. From chart-topping hits like “Beautiful” and “What a Girl Wants” to iconic collaborations such as “Lady Marmalade,” she has consistently showcased her artistry, blending pop, R&B, and Latin influences into a sound uniquely her own.

Christina’s artistry took center stage on “Your Face Sounds Familiar,” where 7 of our talented ka-Familiars rose to the challenge of transforming into the vocal powerhouse herself.

Esang De Torres (YFSF Kids Season 2, 2018) - “Beautiful”

Esang De Torres delivered an emotional performance of the classic “Beautiful” as Christina. Everyone in the studio was all ears as Esang channeled the singer, from blonde hair, red dress and lipstick, down to Christina’s vocals and nuances.

Coach Nyoy Volante described Esang as an amazing singer, stating, “You have a very beautiful voice---very powerful, very versatile. Sobrang dali sa’yong gumaya ng boses.” He added that despite Christina being one tough vocalist to mimic, Esang delivered her rendition perfectly and with full emotion. Judge Ogie Alcasid agreed, saying the song title “Beautiful” best described Esang’s performance, “You slayed it. That was really great,” he said.

Judge Sharon Cuneta, who knows how talented Esang is, praised her for her growth as a performer. She noted that she did not see a trace of Esang in the performance, but rather a whole lot of Christina Aguilera. “It’s amazing to me that kids like you can just transform sa isang number. Nag-iiba hindi lang ‘yung itsura, pati ‘yung pag-deliver ng kanta… that was the best performance,” she said.

Esang placed 3rd at the end of the season.

AC Bonifacio (YFSF Kids Season 1, 2017) - “Fighter”

From an emotional ballad, AC Bonifacio shifted gears with a powerful performance of the hit “Fighter,” showing a different side of Christina this time. AC delivered a high-level performance full of angst, taking the song’s lyrics to heart like the true fighter she is.

Judge Ogie Alcasid described AC’s performance as just as intense as Christina’s, noting her strong stage presence. He gave AC two thumbs up, loving her delivery. Judge Sharon Cuneta echoed the same energy, feeling the intensity of AC’s performance, “That was an unexpectedly wonderful performance as Christina Aguilera,” she said.

Judge Gary Valenciano acknowledged that Christina’s vocal technique is something only she herself could truly master, making it difficult for others to copy. Still, he was impressed with how AC poured so much effort into becoming Christina Aguilera, “You put in the power in the places kung saan kailangan talaga ng power. You did a great job,” he said.

AC placed 3rd at the end of the season.

Mackie Empuerto of TNT Boys (YFSF Kids Season 2, 2018) - “Lady Marmalade” with Keifer Sanchez and Francis Concepcion

Christina also took part in the “Moulin Rouge” track “Lady Marmalade,” and Mackie Empuerto of TNT Boys was unstoppable in delivering a fiery performance reminiscent of Christina. Mackie’s powerful vocals wowed the viewers, and even the judges were impressed. After the performance, Coach Nyoy Volante joined them onstage dressed as Lil’ Kim, drawing laughter from the audience.

The judges later gave their remarks, starting with Gary Valenciano, “Grabe ang talent ninyo at ang mga kaya n’yong gawin with your vocals. Pati ‘yung mga tunay na babae, mahihirapan kayong gayahin.” He added that a group as talented as the TNT Boys is very rare to find anywhere in the world.

Judge Ogie Alcasid praised the TNT Boys for keeping him impressed week after week. “Namamangha talaga ako sa galing ninyo… vocally, that was excellent,” he said. Lastly, Judge Sharon Cuneta was once again speechless at the group’s performance, “Lahat na yata ng papuri maiisip ko para sa inyo,” she said.

The TNT Boys were hailed the grand winner of the season.

Lucas Garcia of iDolls (YFSF Season 3, 2021) - “Lady Marmalade” with Matty Juniosa and Enzo Almario

From the kids’ version to the adult stage, Lucas Garcia of iDolls surprised everyone with his own take on Christina performing the hit “Lady Marmalade.” Donning a red one-piece and carrying Christina’s signature sass and angst onstage, Lucas embodied the singer perfectly.

Judge Sharon Cuneta praised the trio for their outstanding vocals, stating, “Hindi kayo matatawaran, never kayong nagmimintis. Sobra kayong galing. Solo tapos pagsasamahin, perfect kayo.” For Judge Gary Valenciano, the trio blended their voices flawlessly, “You all sounded like good vocalists coming together as a trio,” he said.

Judge Ogie Alcasid also praised the trio’s vocals, saying, “The vocals were excellent, lalo na ‘yung allegro ninyo. The choreography ang galing.” He shared the same sentiments as the other judges and noted that it was iDolls’ best performance so far on “YFSF.”

iDolls placed 4th at the end of the season.

Denise Laurel (YFSF Season 2, 2015) - “Lady Marmalade”

Turning herself into a diva, Denise Laurel performed the classic “Lady Marmalade,” her vocals and ad-libs perfectly capturing Christina’s style. Denise delivered a powerhouse performance with live singing that impressed the audience and had everyone singing along.

Judge Gary Valenciano noted Christina’s signature vocal gymnastics that make her unique, “Yun ang nahanap ko sa’yo, Denise. Buti na lang na you actually can sing,” he said, applauding Denise for her effort in embodying the singer. Judge Sharon Cuneta also praised Denise’s vocals, stating, “You did your own thing with her style, you did it fantastically. You made yourself shine as Christina tonight.”

Coach Jed Madela highlighted Christina’s signature hand gestures whenever she performs onstage, which Denise did not miss. Even her eyes and mouth, especially when Christina hits the high notes, carry specific mannerisms that Denise captured perfectly, impressing Jed.

Denise was declared the grand winner of the season.

Klarisse De Guzman (YFSF Season 3, 2021) - “Dirrty”

From soul diva to pop icon, Klarisse De Guzman took things to another level as she transformed to perform the hit “Dirrty.” Serving looks and vocals just like Christina, it was a total performance from Klarisse. Afterward, she admitted that becoming Christina was very challenging since she doesn’t usually dance like her. Still, she shared that she was happy with the challenge because it allowed her to do things she’s not used to.

“This is for me the best [performance],” said Judge Sharon Cuneta. “’Yung confidence ni Christina… attitude, ‘yung boses mo, ilalaban ko kay Christina,” she added, clearly impressed by Klarisse. Judge Gary Valenciano described Klarisse as one of the most underrated female artists in the country today, but noted that “YFSF” is the perfect avenue for her to showcase more of herself as a performer.

Judge Ogie Alcasid used the slang word “Sakalam” (malakas) to describe Klarisse’s performance. He summed it up in just one word, agreeing with the comments of his fellow judges and sharing the same sentiments.

Klarisse was announced as the grand winner of the season.

Marielle Montellano (YFSF Season 4, 2026) - “What A Girl Wants” with JM Dela Cerna

An acoustic performance of Christina’s original “What a Girl Wants” was recently given a twist by the singer herself with Sabrina Carpenter. “YFSF” offered its own take through JMielle, with Marielle Montellano singing as Christina Aguilera and JM Dela Cerna as Sabrina, delivering a heartwarming performance. After their number, Marielle admitted that singing like Christina was a challenge, given her unique vocal technique.

Judge Sharon Cuneta said that “Excitement” is the emotion JMielle always makes her feel, noting that the duo never fails to impress with their performances. “Kahit ano kayang gawin ni Marielle… it’s so easy for you guys,” she added, emphasizing that she remains a fan of the two.

Judge Gary Valenciano was visibly impressed, stating, “Ang gagaling ninyo, may mali o wala, mai-insecure pa rin sila Christina at Sabrina. Ang galing n’yo.” Meanwhile, Judge Ogie Alcasid highlighted JMielle’s strong work chemistry. He added, “I just wanna point out Marielle’s Christina Aguilera, [it was] exceptional. Pati ‘yung runs mo kanina, wow.”
