Throughout its entire run, “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0” has served as an avenue for young Kapuso and Kapamilya artists to reveal their real, authentic selves beyond the teleseryes and TV shows we usually see them in. Now that their “PBB” journey is nearing its end, we’ve come to know their true stories and witnessed the moments they shared with their families that helped them shape who they are today, and many of whom took the opportunity to visit the housemates inside Bahay ni Kuya.

Let us look back at some of the most emotional yet heartwarming mini reunions inside Bahay ni Kuya, where the housemates' loved ones participated in Kuya’s tasks.

“Namamasko Po” Weekly Task

As the holiday season approached, the housemates were given a weekly task called “Namamasko Po," where they had to prepare and perform caroling numbers, with prices set for each performance. Requestors would give aguinaldos in exchange for the housemates’ carols, and all proceeds would be donated to charity.

The housemates staged caroling performances either as one big group or in smaller groups of four. Requestors included not only fans but also the housemates’ loved ones. During the performances, pledges from their families were flashed on the plasma screen in real time, allowing the housemates to see them.

Among those who became emotional was Kapuso housemate Ashley Sarmiento, who was moved to tears upon seeing her family onscreen while she performed with the group. The separation hit Ashley hard as she realized she wouldn’t be spending the holidays with her family, but their surprise appearance melted her heart. “Mas nagkaroon po ako ng energy, at mas naging motivated po ako to give my best,” she shared.

Later on, an unexpected voice request came through, and it was none other than Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin, Joaquin Arce’s stepmother. Joaquin was surprised to see his loved ones’ names appear on the screen. “Natuwa po talaga ako na sinusuportahan nila ako. Gumaan po talaga ‘yung loob ko, sobrang na-overwhelm ako,” he shared. As the performances continued, Joaquin grew emotional.

Other housemates also experienced surprise appearances from their families.

“Call Your Mother” – 100-second Phone Call

The housemates were given the chance to experience an advanced screening of the MMFF 2025 film “Call Me Mother,” watching it ahead of its official release. Later, one of the movie’s lead stars, Vice Ganda, made a surprise visit to ask the housemates about their thoughts on the film.

The housemates shared heartfelt realizations about the motherly love portrayed by the characters. Vice, in turn, gave inspiring words, relating her own experiences to the reflections and stories the housemates shared. Vice later stayed in the task room to present a special gift to six housemates hailed as the “pinakamabuti.” These six were given the rare chance to make a 100-second phone call to their mothers.

Among them was Kapamilya housemate Miguel Vergara, who was able to speak with his mother, Mommy Bing. Tears flowed as soon as Miguel’s voice came through the line. In those 100 seconds, Miguel and his mom exchanged comforting words, and Miguel made sure to reassure her of how happy he is inside the house.

Kapuso housemate Sofia Pablo also had the chance to talk to her mother. The moment Sofia heard Mommy Rima’s voice, she burst into tears. Sofia was overjoyed by her mom’s comforting words, who reassured her of how proud she is of Sofia’s growth inside the house.

Housemates John Clifford, Heath Jornales, Lella Ford, and Rave Victoria likewise received the opportunity to speak with their mothers.

“Paskong Hatid Regalo” Weekly Task

For their weekly task “Paskong Hatid Regalo,” the housemates were paired into duos, taking on the roles of Santa Claus and reindeer. The reindeer had to pedal and cover the distance from their current house to Bahay ni Kuya. Once they succeeded, they would receive special presents from their loved ones just in time for Christmas.

What the housemates didn’t know was that the presents would be delivered by their loved ones themselves. Emotions ran high as heartwarming messages filled the room, with many breaking down in tears upon seeing family members they hadn’t been with for months.

Among them was Kapamilya housemate Krystal Mejes, who grew emotional upon seeing her mother. Her mom expressed how proud she was of Krystal. “Sobrang sarap po sa feeling na sinabi niya pong proud po siya sa akin,” Krystal shared, adding that she needed those words for motivation.

Kapuso housemate Rave Victoria openly shared about his relationship with his mother, Mommy Haidee, whom he had not seen for quite some time, and their reunion inside Bahay ni Kuya brought both of them to tears. The two had a heartfelt conversation about their struggles and exchanged messages, making the reunion even more meaningful.

The PBB Bistro

For their 14th weekly task “PBB Bistro,” the housemates became young chefs tasked to operate a restaurant serving a five-course menu, with proceeds going to charity.

Before the challenge began, Chef Jorge, Caprice Cayetano's father, surprised the housemates by preparing a special omelette for breakfast. Caprice immediately grew emotional upon seeing her father, delighted to reunite with him once again. To support them in their task, Chef Jorge made a special participation by helping the housemates select their menu for the restaurant, which they themselves would cook.

The housemates’ relatives also joined in as food tasters for the proposed dishes. Among them were Sofia’s father, Eliza’s sister, and Carmelle Collado’s cousin. Carmelle was delighted to see her cousin, Ate Myra, whom she hadn’t seen for a long time, and their hug brought Carmelle to tears.

When “PBB Bistro” officially opened, the first customers were Joaquin’s father, Neil, and Heath’s mother, Jem. Heath felt nothing but pure happiness upon seeing his mom, while Joaquin found peace of mind reuniting with his father. Both were happy to embrace their parents, making the restaurant’s opening truly special.

Welcome to PBB Hotel

Bahay ni Kuya transformed into “PBB Hotel,” with the housemates serving as hotel staff while Caprice and Lella took on the roles of hotel guests, being the first to join the Ultimate 8. As part of her birthday celebration, Lella had the chance to enjoy the experience as a hotel guest. Unbeknownst to her, the real birthday gift was just around the corner.

As the first guest of “PBB Hotel,” Lella’s sister, Magui, made a surprise dinner reservation, which the housemates accommodated. Magui shared the sisterly bond she has with Lella outside the house, expressing how happy she was to witness Lella’s growth inside Bahay ni Kuya. Magui later on sought Joaquin’s help to cook pasta for Lella, while also sharing stories about her sister with the housemates.

Later that evening, Magui surprised Lella with a special dinner. The moment Lella saw her, she immediately ran toward her, overwhelmed with emotion. Both sisters grew teary-eyed as they reunited. “Lumaki po talaga kami sa iisang bahay. I really look up to her, Kuya. Siya po talaga ‘yung bestfriend ko,” Lella shared.

Magui also brought a special gift for Lella---a sweater from her brother, Daniel Padilla. Upon learning it was from him, Lella burst into tears, saying the sweater made her feel as though her brother was hugging her through it.

These heartwarming moments between the housemates and their families inside Bahay ni Kuya became some of the most emotional yet genuine highlights of the season. It reminds us that while being away from our families can be difficult, it also makes us stronger.
