When hosts Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario ask how she has prepared for this particular performance, the “Singing Reina” imparts that she actually focused on imitating the voice of the American singer-songwriter since their singing styles differ and researching about how she is as a performer to capture her personality and performance style.
Because there’s a part of the song wherein Gwen spells out the word “banana” in cheerleader style, it inspires the host to turn it into a fun challenge, asking Dia and her bestie and fellow celebrity performer Rufa Mae Quinto to do it. They once again poke fun at the “Comedy Bombshell” by having her spell long and quite complicated words while Dia’s are short and simple.
Juror Gary Valenciano commends her for doing a job well done in capturing the uniqueness of Gwen. Meanwhile, Ogie Alcasid admits that the performance is a “head scratcher” for them because it’s so impressive that it puts the jury in trouble.
Sharon Cuneta, who immediately gives Dia a standing ovation the moment she steps out of the iconizer, notes that she couldn’t see any trace of Dia in the performance because of her complete transformation into Gwen from her movements to her vocals.
