It isn’t only the housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” who get a taste of being a “primera kontrabida” of seasoned actress Gladys Reyes during their impromptu acting performances, but Kuya as well.
Right after checking out of the “PBB Hotel”, Big Brother asks her about her brief yet memorable stay as a house guest. Beaming with gratitude, she responds, “Naku, ang saya po. Napaka-warm ng pagtanggap ng ‘PBB Hotel’ staff at ng mga housemates. At hindi ko akalain na parang mapapa-feel nila ako agad at home.”
In return, Kuya acknowledges her as a true “alagad ng sining,” or a devoted steward of the arts, not only for consistently delivering powerful performances, but also for generously sharing her knowledge and craft, especially with the younger generation. Thus, it’s her dedication that makes her someone worthy of admiration and respect.
As Big Brother jokingly expresses his wish to experience being slapped by her, Gladys gamely suggests that since it’s impossible, he can still get a taste of her being “mataray” or spiteful through acting. Kuya astonishingly rides along, pretending to reprimand Gladys over a violation and even penalizing her with forced eviction.
But ever the fierce and formidable woman, Gladys refuses to be evicted forcibly by Kuya, declaring that she would rather do a voluntary exit then dramatically pretending to walk out with her luggage in tow.
Their delightful interaction ends on a warm and cordial note, with Kuya thanking Gladys for her visit and expressing his hope to welcome her back again to his house.
