As the search for Edong (Jake Cuenca) continues, Erica (Kaila Estrada) and Lucas (JM de Guzman) meet at a bar to discuss the recent information they’ve gathered, yet there’s still no progress on Edong’s whereabouts or Louisa’s (Mutya Orquia) killer.
Lucas, now drunk from all the drinking, recalls how Edong’s disappearance reminded him of their father. He then jokes with Erica, saying he’s had more than one drink and is definitely intoxicated.
Seeing his state, Erica helps Lucas to the safe house where he has been staying with Marco (Race Matias) to evade the pursuit of Laurence Kyo’s (Chris Tan) men. As she lays him on the bed, they share a lingering gaze—until a cellphone ringing breaks the moment.
Seconds later, Lucas speaks drunkenly, admitting that he doesn’t know what to do anymore, now that there’s little hope of persuading Edong to abandon his quest for vengeance. In the past, all he could think about was helping Edong gain a legal release from prison and start a new life.
Erica gently reminds Lucas that he can still make new plans, just as he has done before. For Lucas, however, doing it alone is no longer an option.
Hearing this, Erica remembers how she and Lucas are alike—both left to start a new life on their own in Manila. She feels proud that, despite the hardships, they overcame them and found success.
In a surprising revelation, Lucas recounts how he found her unconscious in an alley in the middle of the night in Manila. He didn’t wake her at the time but gave her fifty pesos. This stuns Erica, as she recalls her conversation with Marco, remembering that the anonymous person who saved her was the one who had given her the aforementioned money.
She wanted to ask more about that night, but Lucas drifted deeper into his sleep. His phone also suddenly rings again—with Mel (Sue Ramirez) calling. Seeing this, Erica wipes her tears and quietly leaves.
