In the aftermath of Steve’s (Christian Ty) unforeseen murder by Edong (Jake Cuenca), Erica (Kaila Estrada) spends the night at Lucas’ (JM de Guzman) unit, ready to support him as he grapples with the depth of his grief.
Moments later, Marco (Race Matias) calls Erica to report the killing of a woman named Dolores Candelaria (Malou de Guzman), whom Edong had first encountered and killed after she failed to understand his vengeful plans. Erica correctly suspects that Edong is the mastermind and has informed the police about the previous night’s events.
Marco then asks where Erica is, and she replies that she’s with Lucas. Masking his surprise, Marco stays professional and urges her to leave immediately, warning that Laurence’s (Chris Tan) men will undoubtedly target Lucas next.
True to Marco’s warning, Laurence’s men ambush Erica and Lucas at the parking lot—nearly shooting Erica. Ultimately, they escape safely and rush to the police station to give a statement about Laurence’s involvement in the “Lost Beauconeras” case.
Just as Erica is about to enter the police station, Lucas stops her, concerned about the wounds she sustained earlier. Frustrated, he grows emotional, admitting that while he should feel relieved by Edong’s survival, Steve’s murder leaves him feeling hollow instead.
Instead of blaming Edong, he tearfully questions why it wasn’t Laurence who was killed. As his sobs intensify, Erica embraces him, shedding tears of her own.
Marco arrives, silently witnessing their heartfelt moment.
