Straight away, her first pick was already an emotionally heavy one, but it marked the beginning of the bond between young Mel (Reich Alim), Alice (Janella Salvador), Beth (Allyson McBride), Erica (Krystal Mejes), and Louisa—the MABEL girls. In the scene, Alice and her father are caught in a collision, and the girls rush to her aid, with Louisa and Erica leading despite initially being judged by and distant from Beth, Mel, and Alice.
Another tragic moment that truly showcased the girls’ acting prowess was Louisa’s long death scene. It unfolds with Louisa being attacked at the park, the girls desperately searching for her, finally finding her bloodied and on the verge of death, Erica attempting to stop the murderer, and all the girls enduring the rain and shivers—just to hold on to Louisa while waiting for help.
While recalling the effort it took to perfect the shots, Mutya teases that it isn’t even the full length, as more parts have yet to be unveiled.
