And speaking of seasons, we asked some of our favorite Kapamilya actresses about their favorite season of the year, and they had interesting choices to share!
For Queen of Pinoy Soap Opera Judy Ann Santos, it has always been Christmas, as it is one of the most beloved seasons we celebrate. “For the simple reason na pagpasok talaga ng Christmas season, kahit gaano ka-stressful, kangarag, there’s an automatic kindness that comes out to everyone, the compassion is there,” she shared, emphasizing how the holidays also inspire people to give back to charities.
Angelica Panganiban shared the same choice, with Christmas as her favorite season of the year, since it is the time when she feels most loved by those around her. “Ramdam na ramdam mo ‘yung spirit ng mga tao na lahat masaya, lahat gustong i-celebrate ‘yung panahon na yun,” she added.
Meanwhile, despite the Christmas season being happy yet tiring for everyone, especially for adults, Iza Calzado still sees it as her favorite season. “It's really when people gather… making the kids happy, making the family happy, getting the family together. Similarly, Asia’s Superstar Kathryn Bernardo shared her thoughts on why Christmas is her most awaited time of the year. “There's something about Christmas na, kahit medyo hindi naging madali ang taon na ‘to para sa lahat, it gives us that hope. Iba lang ‘pag nakita mo na ‘yung Christmas decorations all over, may iba siyang binibigay na energy na nakakawala ng pagod,” she expressed. For Kathryn, the joy of Christmas is felt especially when celebrated with loved ones.
In the same spirit, Shaina Magdayao also shares the sentiment, choosing Christmas as her most-loved holiday. “Our time to honor our Savior, and at the same time, we get to spend time with our family also,” she said. For Jane De Leon, family remains the heart of Christmas, which is why it is her favorite season. “It's all about love, hope, and joy,” Jane added.
Lastly, Dimples Romana and Jane Oineza also answered Christmas as their cherished occasion, with Jane adding that Halloween also tops her list.
