Far from the dodgy, arrogant, and, perhaps, intimidating image of his treacherous character, Rockyboy Mondragon—also known by his shady alter ego Bernard Aguirre—Baron Geisler surely delighted viewers of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” in his appearance in a reel posted by CCM Film Productions across its social media platforms.
In this video, Baron enthusiastically gave audiences a tour around the mansion-slash-safe house that Rockyboy offered to Tanggol and his group to be their hideout after he was able to deceive them into thinking that he was their ally, who’s willing to do anything he could for their group as his way of paying back the kindness that he had shown them.
The seasoned actor gave us a peek at some areas of the house where several scenes were shot, such as the kitchen where he prepared the rice porridge laced with muriatic acid that he was supposed to feed Tanggol. While Rockyboy and Bernard must have liked it that Tropang Tanggol was there since it became easier for them to infiltrate their group and carry out their plans against the group, Baron tagged it as the best thing about this story arc, as it provided him the opportunity to get along with the “tropa” in real life.
As he was doing the tour, it could be noticed that people around him were working, including his co-actor-cum-director Coco Martin, to which he remarked that everyone has always been passionate with their jobs. He went on to commend the production staff and crew for being excellent in their respective roles, noting that Direk Coco hired the best of the best.
Apart from his vibrant demeanor, Baron also showed his sense of humor as he commented, “Masarap. ‘Pag tinikman n’yo ‘yan siguradong langit ang punta ninyo,” while holding the pot of the poisoned arroz caldo to the camera. He then conveyed how he enjoyed that particular scene so much.
Baron also acknowledged all their brilliant and top-caliber directors in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” starting with Direk Malu Sevilla, then Direk Darnel Villaflor, and last but definitely not least, Direk Richard Somes, whom he had the chance to act alongside with.
Of course, he didn’t miss mentioning Direk Coco, as he took this opportunity to express his admiration for him. He stated, “I appreciate Direk Coco for helping me build my character here. Siya ang nagtuturo sa akin kung papaano gumanap bilang Bernard. Siya bumuo ng kuwento, and nakakabilib lang for an actor like me.”
He continued, “I appreciate it dahil mas napapadali trabaho ko kapag magaling ang nag-e-explain sa akin, nagbibigay ng instruction. So, Direk Coco, I love you! You’re the man!”
The seasoned actor went on to impart that he keeps all Coco’s advice to him in his mind and in his heart. More behind-the-scenes clips of Rockyboy’s interactions with Tropang Tanggol as Bernard were shown in the last few minutes of the video.
Will Rockyboy eventually succeed in taking revenge against Tanggol and his gang? Or is it him who’s going to face his end? Let's all find out by not missing an episode of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” on Kapamilya Channel, ALLTV2, A2Z, iWant, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
