While their presence together is already enough to make their ardent shippers go crazy every time they share the screen, Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin’s slow-burn romance as Arissa Trinidad and Enzo Rivera definitely makes us even more kilig and hooked on “Sins of the Father,” as we anticipate what’s going to happen next between them.
But as we wait for them to take their relationship to the next level, let us revisit first the scenes from “Sins of the Father” that show Arissa and Enzo’s growing closeness and fondness with each other.
As we all know, Enzo has always been there for Arissa ever since their paths initially crossed. Remember when he came out of nowhere to save Arissa from being robbed and harassed by a riding-in-tandem as she walked alone on a dark highway? What was supposed to be a complete sweet interaction suddenly turned sour as a heated argument sparked between them with regard to the controversy that her dad, Mike Trinidad (John Arcilla), and his family are embroiled in.
However, as fate would have it, their paths once again intertwined at the coffee shop where both of them worked as baristas. They may get on each other’s nerves, as Arissa tends to be surly towards him, yet Enzo still always makes sure that she’s alright.
And from simply being workmates, we’d witnessed how they got involved in each other’s personal lives, with Enzo helping her and her dad’s legitimate family out in some of the troubles they had to face.
Let us begin with that time when he discreetly slipped a tracking device into one of the pockets of the pants of Arissa’s nephew, King (Clave Sun), as he noticed how completely anxious she was, while working on her tasks at the coffee shop and watching over him at the same time. Aside from that, he also helped Samuel (Gerald Anderson) and his friends to search for King, to which Arissa and her family couldn’t be any more grateful.
As Arissa blamed herself for the abduction of King, she decided to run away from home and sleep at the coffeeshop after it closes at night. She kept this a secret from anyone until he caught her, and offered her to stay with him at his condominium unit for the meantime. Arissa initially declined it, but she immediately retracted her decision when Enzo mentioned the young ghost that lives in the coffeeshop.
Apart from offering her to stay with him, he also suggested for her to sleep in his room and on his bed, which she refused since it would be too much already. He continued to tease her by telling her not to move the couch so as not to disturb the cockroaches hiding in it, which Arissa seemed to believe.
Our girl may appear fab and fleek, but she can definitely do household chores! And she was able to show that when she cleaned up Enzo’s unit and even cooked breakfast for him while she was still asleep. However, he apparently had forgotten that Arissa was there, so he still did the things that he habitually does upon waking up, which she found really amusing.
As he expressed his embarrassment for letting her do the household chores and told her that she should have woken him up to help her, Arissa sarcastically responded, “Tapos kapag pumasok ako sa room mo, sasabihin mo sinisilipan kita? No way.”
And lastly, after they found out that Samuel, Lolita (Lotlot de Leon), and King suddenly moved to another house without notifying her, Arissa couldn’t help but be upset and feel that they didn’t want her anymore. Even though she told him that she was just okay with it since she knew her place in their family, Enzo knew that she was hurting. Thus, he advised her that what she felt about them at the time was absolutely valid, and he even gave her a hug and let her pour her pent-up emotions onto him.
Is their relationship still platonic, or are they going to take it to the next level soon? Let’s find out by not missing an episode of “Sins of the Father,” weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live (KOL), A2Z, TV5, and iWant.
