The recent events in “Sins of the Father” have been completely action-packed, mind-blowingly intense, and quite heavily dramatic.
But amidst the action and drama, there are still kilig and adorable scenes that serve as delightful breathers for avid viewers, some of which are provided by the trio of Enzo Rivera, Arissa Trinidad, and Luke Delgado, the characters impressively portrayed by promising Kapamilya stars Seth Fedelin, Francine Diaz, and Jeremiah Lisbo, respectively.
Even though neither Enzo nor Luke has confessed their feelings for Arissa, the way they look at her and care for her, not just at work but also in her personal life, seems to hint about how they feel about her. And just in case you would like to go back to those moments to see it for yourself, we’ve collated five of them in this edition of Friday 5.
In Mug Co. Coffee, the coffee shop owned by Luke and where Enzo and Arissa both work as baristas, it’s not only coffee that has been brewing but also the love triangle among them. Arissa may be a bit bratty and crabby, yet she’s still loveable not just because she is undeniably beautiful but also because she is dependable, thoughtful, confident, headstrong, and charming. Thus, there’s definitely no wonder that she is able to capture the hearts of both Luke and Enzo.
Aside from being kind enough to accept her for the job in spite of not having pertinent experience to be a barista, Luke has also been nice to her both as an employer and a friend. He allowed Arissa to bring her nephew, King (Clave Sun), to the cafe and even gave him a free drink. Enzo, on the other hand, simply watched their interaction from the counter and went on to tease Arissa about King being her son.
Upon catching Arissa and Enzo talking with each other inside the employees’ quarters, Luke immediately entered to check on Arissa after what happened the night before. While Enzo went to great lengths to help her family find King after he got abducted under Arissa’s watch—for which she was very thankful—Luke apologized for leaving her even before the problem got resolved and hoped that he should have stayed longer after accompanying her to the police station to file a blotter.
Luke seemed to be crestfallen as his other baristas teased Arissa and Enzo for arriving at the coffee shop at the same time, which happened for the first time. As one of their co-workers asked Arissa if he picked her up from her house, Enzo quickly denied it by saying that he only spotted her walking on the way to work, so he offered her a ride. Their other fellow barista continued to taunt them, which annoyed Arissa and prompted her to walk out as they told them to get back to work.
Right after Luke finished his meal and left Arissa at the table alone, Enzo came to take his seat and unpacked the lunch that he prepared for himself. He noticed her looking inside the cafe as if anticipating someone to come in, which Enzo figured out was Lolita (Lotlot de Leon) since she hadn’t come yet that day to bring Arissa the lunch that she prepared for her. Although she was able to feign missing and waiting for Lolita, Arissa’s reaction upon Enzo’s mention of King already gave it away.
While she was busy taking out glass cups from a box that they would use in the coffee shop, Luke suddenly entered the room where all his baristas were and went in front of Arissa to ask if she was going to do anything after her shift. She was apparently stunned by his question, and even before she could reply, Enzo came inside the room all of a sudden—much to their surprise. As Luke sneered at him by advising him that he should still have taken more rest, Arissa expressed her worry towards him.
And lastly, as she and Enzo were figuring out the purpose of the keys she was able to retrieve from her late father’s personal belongings, Arissa wasn’t able to contain her joy upon learning from Luke that they were for a SDB or safety deposit box. Enzo went on to explain to her that it’s where important documents, expensive jewelry, and other precious stuff can be kept, which gave her a “eureka moment” and prompted her to hug him. The scene seemingly got Enzo jealous, while Luke was pleased and lowkey kilig by what just transpired.
