TODAY'S SLANGUAGE: (GenZ) “cap”

The Gen Z slang "cap" is short for "capping," which means to lie or tell an untruth.

Gamitin natin nang bongga (with reference to Dirty Linen's Alexa portrayed by Janine Gutierrez):

Capping her Identity – “Mila dela Cruz”

Alexa assumes the persona of Mila, a naïve and vulnerable maid, in order to gain the trust of the Fiero family while capping her true motive: investigating her mother’s disappearance and seeking revenge.

Concealing Her Real Relationship

She caps her family ties to Chiara, passing as a stranger or even a bestie before her explosive revelation: that they share the same mother!

Dirty Linen is clearly built around her deceptive infiltration: a capped identity, manipulating emotions, capping her true motives, and only revealing her real self when it serves her plan.
