Just when the family, friends, teammates, and supporters of Tanggol (Coco Martin) were hopeful and confident that he would win the mayoralty race, they were all frustrated and appalled when it was officially announced that he lost to his stiffest rival, Miguelito Guerrero (Jake Cuenca).
One of them was his grandma, Tindeng (Charo Santos), who was completely shocked and devastated when Tanggol only got 42% compared to the 58% that Miguelito was able to receive. She bawled her eyes out and expressed her disappointment over her grandson’s loss, with Alfredo (Juan Rodrigo) being by her side to console her.
Roda (Joel Lamangan) arrived at their house afterwards, insisting to the crying Tindeng that Tanggol didn’t lose but was rather cheated on. Alfredo might have warned her that the Guerreros are tough enemies, but Tindeng still firmly believes that they must do everything they can to expose the truth with regard to the election results.
Meanwhile, their former neighbors in Barangay San Dimas were also dismayed over the results of the elections, along with his youngest brother, Santino (Ronwaldo Martin), who relayed the news to Miguelito’s younger sister, Erika (Gillian Vicencio).
