The past few days have been a kilig fest for the 'yellow' fandom, thanks to all the sweet ganaps from their favorites, former "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition” housemates Bianca De Vera and Dustin Yu a.k.a. DusBi or DustBia. But while the pairing continues to charm with every shared on- and off-cam sighting, let's take a moment to get to know them outside the ship.
In their solo "Atin A10 Lang" videos, they each gave fans a glimpse of the little things that make them who they are.
During this interview while she was under "hotel arrest" or the period prior to entering Bahay Ni Kuya, Bianca mentioned that she has two pet dogs, a Bichon Frisé and a Corgi named Peach. We saw in an episode of “PBB Collab” last May that Bianca’s Corgi, Peach, passed away, and Big Brother gave her the chance to step out of the house briefly so she could say goodbye.
Those who followed her journey inside the “PBB” house probably saw how polished and put-together she always appeared, and this video confirms why—Bianca is a self-confessed skincare and makeup lover. She said she rarely goes a day without wearing makeup, for it makes her feel good and confident. Just like her daily dose of caffeine, which, according to her, she absolutely can’t live without.
Fans would get a mini throwback moment as Bianca casually talked about joining “Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition” back in 2011. She was only nine years old then, but cooking is still a huge part of her life and her favorite dish to prepare is sinigang na baboy, which she considers her comfort food.
That said, even something as simple as cooking eggs doesn’t escape her meticulous taste. She prefers them “over-easy,” with runny yolks, firm whites, and slightly crisp edges.
While most housemates had to adjust to the routines inside Bahay ni Kuya, Dustin didn’t have a hard time with discipline. Viewers would remember how he kept up with his workouts during his stay, but even before joining the show, fitness had already been part of his lifestyle. He stays in shape through regular exercise, sticks to a healthy diet, and enjoys playing basketball and swimming in his free time.
Dustin considers himself more of an outdoorsy guy who enjoys hanging out with friends and cousins, exploring new spots, and chasing scenic views, especially sunsets, which he loves taking photos of.
They don’t call him the “Chinito Boss-Sikap ng Quezon City” for nothing. Dustin has been working hard since his elementary years and continues to be the breadwinner of his family. Apart from his job as an actor, he also runs his own restaurant business.
He was one of the most quiet housemates at the start of “PBB,” which may have led some to assume he’s 'masungit,' but he swears that behind the serious face is someone who’s actually kind. He just knows how to balance being determined with staying calm.
During this interview held while he was still under “hotel arrest” before entering the house, Dustin also revealed that he’s been single for quite a while—around four years, he said.
